Q: What’s the best lens for portrait photography?
A: My favorite lens for taking portraits and professional headshots is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and I’ll tell you why.
It has all the focal lengths I want for shooting close up with perfect bokkah, or wide-range to capture surroundings. This lens is sharp, quick and quiet to focus, and after using it in the windy, salt-air and sandy beaches of Kauai, it still outperforms for versatility and functionality.

Q: Which is the best Canon lens for portraits?
A: The best Canon lens for portrait photography is the 24-70 Zoom lens.
Q: Which lens type is best for portrait photography, Zoom or Prime lens?
A: I prefer a Zoom lens as it gives me more options
